Switching from Text Blaze?

Bring what you have

Your snippets come over with their shortcuts and folders. Text fields, menus, dates, the clipboard and the cursor become Toolbox fields; anything else is flagged for you to check.

  1. Open the Text Blaze dashboard (dashboard.blaze.today) and choose Import/Export, then Export.
  2. Pick the folders to bring over, or all of them, and download the .json file.
  3. In Toolbox, open Templates on the web, press Import and drop the file.
  4. Check the preview, including any snippet marked for review, then import.
Import from Text Blaze You'll see what comes over before anything is added.

Questions

Something else? Write to us from the Support link below.

Is Toolbox cheaper than Text Blaze?

No. Text Blaze Pro costs a fraction of Toolbox. Toolbox is worth it when templates are one of several tools you pay for: a screen recorder, a PDF editor, a screenshot tool or a link shortener. Tick the ones you have in the calculator above.

Can I bring my templates with me?

Yes. Export your folders from Text Blaze's dashboard and import the file on our templates page: shortcuts, folders and fill-in fields come with them. TextExpander CSV exports import too, and you can export everything as JSON any time.

Does it work in rich editors like Gmail and Notion?

Yes. Templates insert into normal inputs, text areas and rich editors, inside frames too, and you can turn insertion off for any site.

Is Toolbox free?

Yes. Every tool works on the free plan, with a few limits. Premium removes the limits and adds features like full-page captures and cloud storage, for every tool at once. Pro adds signatures, Office conversions and bookmark cleanups on top. You only add a card if you decide to upgrade.
